New Valleiaan Lift Officially Opened in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc

Today, the Valleiaan lift was officially inaugurated in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc. Although the lift was formally opened today, visitors have been able to use it since Monday. The new gondola connection promises a significant improvement in accessibility and offers an eco-friendly alternative to road traffic.

The Valleiaan lift is designed to connect the center of Bourg, the village hub of Saint-Gervais, with the SNCF station in Le Fayet. This connection aims to ease road congestion, especially during peak season when tourists flock to the ski area.

Situated at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif, Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The ski resort offers more than 250 kilometers of slopes and attracts thousands of visitors annually.

Local authorities and tourism operators are enthusiastic about the impact of the Valleiaan lift. "This is a huge step forward in our efforts to make access to the ski area more sustainable and to enhance the experience for visitors," said a representative of Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc.
