Ski Resorts Open Earlier Than Planned, But Limited Slope Availability

This winter, several ski resorts have surprised everyone by opening earlier than scheduled, but it seems to be mainly a communication stunt. The number of open slopes is disappointingly low.

At the Stubaier Glacier, there is currently only one slope, number 7, open, with a length of 9 kilometers. In Sölden, the offer is even more limited, with about 4 kilometers of open slopes. In comparison, the Hintertux Glacier and Zermatt are doing better, with nearly 20 and 12 kilometers of open slopes, respectively.

It appears that ski resorts are opening their doors earlier, but the actual skiing experience often does not align with the expectations they create.
