The ski season in Sölden will start earlier than expected this year, with the glacier opening on September 29, 2023. This early opening is thanks to favorable snow conditions at higher elevations, allowing winter sports enthusiasts to hit the slopes sooner than originally planned.
The full opening of the ski area, which includes approximately 160 kilometers of pistes, is expected in November, depending on snowfall.
Sölden is not the only ski resort opening early this year. The Stubai Glacier has also announced an early opening of its pistes, and the Hintertux Glacier reopens today.
