The Stubaier Glacier is surprisingly opening a month earlier than planned this year. Originally, the ski season was scheduled to begin in mid-October, but thanks to favorable weather conditions and early snowfall, the slopes will be accessible starting from September 20.
The Stubaier Glacier has a total of 68 km of slopes, but only the higher-altitude runs will be open during the pre-season. The Hintertux Glacier, another popular skiing destination, will also reopen to the public starting tomorrow.
